Biography

Shameboy is a project from Jimmy Dewit (also known as DJ Bobby Ewing, part of the Discobar Galaxie crew) and Luuk Cox (drummer of Buscemi). Their style is comparable with Alter Ego and Black Strobe, electronic with catchy beats and very danceable.
Their first record, Rechoque, became an instant hit in 2005. The song was used in a commercial for StuBru Punt Uit, an event of the Belgian radio station Studio Brussel. In April 2006 the second single Strobot was released.
Shameboy released its first album “Hi, Lo And In Between” in June 2006. Besides the two singles, the b-sides and some new tracks, Shameboy did a remarkable collaboration with Tim Vanhamel (from the Belgian band Millionaire) on the song Wired For Sound.
In 2007, the two released a new record “Splend It”, with “Monofour” on the b-side. New tracks are on its way for the end of the year. In spring 2008, they released their second album ‘Heartcore’. – Last FM

Child Is Father to the Man is the debut album by Blood, Sweat & Tears, released in February of 1968.

Widely regarded as a classic fusion of jazz, rock and roll, psychedelia and classical music, Child Is Father to the Man is one of bandleader Al Kooper’s most enduring works. The album introduced the idea of the big band to rock and roll and paved the way for such groups as Chicago. Kooper left the band after this album, changing the nature of the group.

Child Is Father to the Man peaked at #47 on Billboard’s (North America) Pop Albums chart. It failed to generate any Top 40 singles in the United States, although “I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know” and “I Can’t Quit Her” found some play on progressive rock radio.

In 2003, the album was ranked number 264 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

The title is a quotation from a similarly titled poem by Gerard Manley Hopkins, slightly misquoting a poem by William Wordsworth called “My Heart Leaps Up When I Behold”.

The album was re-released in the UK in 1973, entitled “The First Album” on Embassy Records, a subsidiary of Columbia Records (catalogue number EMB 31028) with an identical track listing and the same picture on the front of the sleeve. The rear had new sleeve notes written by English DJ, Noel Edmunds.

Greatest Hits is a compilation album by American punk rock band The Offspring released on June 20, 2005 internationally and June 21, 2005 in North America. It includes hit singles from five of the band’s studio albums as well as the previously unreleased songs “Can’t Repeat” and “Next to You”, the latter being a cover of The Police song and appearing as a hidden track at the end of the album. Greatest Hits peaked at #8 on The Billboard 200 and has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

“Can’t Repeat” was released as a single to promote the album, and peaked at #9 on Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks chart and #10 on its Mainstream Rock Tracks. “Next to You” was also released as a single to radio stations, peaking at #29 on Mainstream Rock Tracks. A DVD/UMD video entitled Complete Music Video Collection was released a month later to complement Greatest Hits. It included the music videos for all fourteen songs on Greatest Hits (excluding “Next to You”, for which no video was filmed), as well as three additional songs which had been released as singles but were not included on Greatest Hits: “The Meaning of Life” and “I Choose” from Ixnay on the Hombre, and “She’s Got Issues” from Americana. These songs, along with several others the band had released as singles during the course of their career, had not charted as highly as those selected for Greatest Hits.
